Chaletta joined GMA Foundations in July 2008. She serves as a program assistant for the Jessie B. Cox Trust, the Dolphin Trust, the Foley Hoag Foundation, and the A.C. Ratshesky Foundation. Chaletta’s grantmaking interests include program and policy evaluation, early childhood education, out-of-school-time programs, mentoring at-risk and high-risk youth, and faith-based initiatives.

Chaletta came to us after working for the The Hyams Foundation through the Associated Grant Makers’ Diversity Fellowship Program. Prior to her fellowship, she founded and directed a college-preparation and mentoring program in Boston and evaluated federal healthcare programs and policies at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Office of Inspector General.

Chaletta’s experience includes developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships of stakeholders, researching, analyzing, and evaluating programs, as well as incorporating youth development models into programs.

Chaletta has a College Scholar degree from Cornell University’s College of Arts & Sciences. Chaletta is active in the philanthropic community as a member of the Association of Black Foundation Executives and New England Blacks in Philanthropy. She is also involved in supporting new mothers at Congregación León de Judá in Boston.
