Amy Segal Shorey is a senior consultant and grantmaker at GMA Foundations, where she has been a director since 2000. She currently serves the Anna B. Stearns Charitable Foundation, the Herman and Frieda L. Miller Foundation, an anonymous family foundation, and the Lalor Foundation. She is the health program officer for the Jessie B. Cox Trust, covering the six New England states, and the administrator for the Clipper Ship Foundation.  Her areas of expertise include women’s and girls’ programs, health, human services, and civic engagement. Her consulting expertise includes foundation guidelines, governance, succession, and family dynamics.

Amy is a graduate of Yale College and received her master’s degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. Before entering the field of philanthropy, she was a manager in several health care settings, including hospital ambulatory care and a health maintenance organization. She has served as a volunteer on local and national non-profit boards.
